The whole purpose of spiritual direction is to penetrate beneath the surface of a man's life, to get behind the façade of conventional gestures and attitudes which he presents to the world, and to bring out his inner spiritual freedom, his inmost truth, which is what we call the likeness of Christ in his soul.
Thomas Merton
Spiritual Direction and Meditation
It can be hard to discern God’s presence in our lives and to hear his voice.
We all need help on this sacred journey of learning to love God and follow Jesus.
Why Spiritual Direction?
You desire spiritual growth and a deeper connection with God.
You feel spiritually stalled, stagnant, or hungry.
You want to become more aware of God in your everyday life.
You need a slow, quiet, spiritually centered space.
You are discerning something and desire help to hear God’s voice and direction.
You are seeking help finding God in a challenging or painful situation.
You have doubts or are deconstructing, you need space to know what’s real,
what’s God, and what’s not.
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Matthew 11:28-30
